That's it! How in the world did you find the link?

 I wonder at the measurements...I didn't include the finial in the height or the candle holders in the width/depth which may account for the difference.

Mine is missing the top to the finial (assuming there is supposed to be one; the one in the photo looks like an afterthought...), but appears to be in good condition otherwise. Assuming mine is an authentic "Italian 18thc Book Stand with Candle Holders" valued at $595,   it's a good find for a thrift shop!  :D

Where are you located ??   I wouldn`t get too excited yet !!  That one that Sapphire found was in Puerto Rico !!
I don`t think it was made in the 18th century !! I still think its pretty new !! I find it odd that if it was as old as they say why are these two almost identical right down to the poorly carved/routed wood and the  wood candleholders are identical with no imperfections !! The one Sapphire found said nothing nor did it show how it was put together which would have indicated its age !! Normally that's what we would look for !!

Awwww.... don't spoil my delusion (if that's what it is.)    :-\ We  found it in a thrift store at South Lake Tahoe which is on the border of CA and NV, where many very wealthy people live...

Ahem......where many poor people live that used to be wealthy before they spent it at the Casinos!  :)  LOL

Been there on family vacations many times (not the casinos but Lake Tahoe). 

For the two to be exactly the same in appearances...still sticking with my 1990's dating!

Agree, Lake Tahoe is gorgeous!  BUT COLD!!!!!!!!!!  The water is freezing!!!!  But have always loved the story about the Tea House on Fannette Island and Vikingsholm Castle!

If I was a betting person, I'd say the one down in Puerto Rico has had its lamp fittings removed as well. :-X

Times are (were)tough...maybe a shotgun? My wife says it's used for a 'distressed' look, along with a hammer and other instruments of torture.. :D
