1907 Beckwith Victorian organ

 reed housing is a little separated on one side. Needs new bellow  cloth. Expert said around 3,000 to get it playing.said the hardest part is going to be the reed housing. From what I know Beckwith was the earlier name for Sears. I have found other ones no where near this ornate and with no head piece for 300 any appraisals for playing or not would be really helpful

They are hard to sell in todays economy and restoration is expensive !! You would also have to restore the outside and that would be another grand or two !!  Might ask the people in the above link for their opinion !!  Those sales figures may be old !!  Not sure how often they update !!

Saw one for sale at a garage sale last year and it sold for $500 because of all the restoration costs.  Still a BEAUTIFUL piece of history!

I would love one...but the restoration cost is a bear.  We had to restore our player piano and it was a pretty penny at the time...but it has been carried down through the family for over 100+ years and is a rare one.

You can at least justify spending money on family heirlooms,, but few have extra 3 or 4 grand to spend on anything now days !!

Well I payed 150 for it because my Wife fell in love with it.she would never sell it. I was curious to see if any one had seen any like this
