or who made the bottle?

well, i can tell you right off....it was liquid...but what kind....don,t have a scooby... ;D

The maker of the bottle would have been Owens-Illinois.

Early patent. You have number 3 at the base of your bottle. The earlier the patent the smaller the number. Really old bottles don't have patent numbers. It still a really nice old bottle. I would guess 30's ,40's.

M.A.D,s....were my forte....when i was a youth.....alcohol.. .came much later....i was well into my 40,s  before i even tasted a Malt whisky....now in my 60,s i have a wee dram every other day...and  2 on a Sunday.... :D

Just curious how tall is the bottle? I love seeing the different metals they used making bottlles. My 99 year old friend has one drink every day. He says it makes everything circulate better and clears your mind. ;D

14 inches tall and 4-1/2 inches round

the website rauville gave has one with the numbers 6 5 4 and this info on it

The diamond/oval/I mark is by far the most common identification mark on glass containers found in trash dump sites in the United States from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s

Neither do I but look for the shape !! Is it a very thick bottle ??  I think its a sparkling wine or an ale !!

when I looked thru the link you gave me I thought it looked like a whiskey bottle, and they were sold in a case

it is almost like a soda pop glass thickness

I am almost positive it a sparkling wine or an ale !! Not sure how big a magnum size is !! But its larger than a champagne bottle I think !!
