sure these lined the supermarket? at one time-so funny how quick things change and something  once so common is now not even seen

 ;D ;D I hafta admit that your comment itself was also "so funny", to me anyway, because ....... beer in brown quart bottles on supermarket shelves in pre 1960 ... is akin to chicken teeth, ..... something that was never seen.

"Brown" is for beer cause it keeps the light out.

Beer has never been in Pennsylvania markets. We have state stores. That's why everyone likes to shop in New Jersey. Mart I have a similar bottle in green. I thought it was a magnate too. It's to large for beer. I'm not a beer connoisseur, but I like the smaller bottles.
