I took some pictures today at my friend Merv's apt. I Wasn't sure what to call it. Merv explained that it is carved and not just painted. I took pictures from all angles. First what would you call this? Second age and then value. I more curios about the background.

I think it's about two and a half feet. He says he bought it from a dealer closing up shop. He got a good price. What year that was I don't know. It's heavy.

Good question.......I'm just a google-er  ;)  I would imagine many the good 'old' ones came from specific makers. Of course with today's repros.......whoeve r can churn them out.
