pocket watch identify and value

Hello guys!! I am a new member and i am from Greece. Sorry if i am making some mistakes at tha language i use
By searching my grand fathers stuff i found a very beautiful  18 K gold watch witch seams that it may has a good value.
So i thought to saw it to you to tell what you know about it. thank you guys

Nice old watch, that was made with a low jewel movement. The value will be mostly in the "half hunter" case.

I don't see a serial number, but if there is one, you can check the year of manufacture here:

From about 1901. Excellent maker, very good retailer, petty about the slight damage.

Probably around $1,500

Are you in Greece ? I think you said you thought it might be worth more.
There have been a couple of high value sales of Longines watches retailed by this maker but they were scarcer and more detailed

haha i sent wrong message.
Thanks a lot. I think my grandfather had told me that the watch is sylektes and they have released minima .. so we expect that to have greater value. has no serious damage to only a few very small bumps. I sent the message and longines museum and waited to tell me parts for the watch

It might be worth more but i wouldn't have thought much.

The case is not as good as yours though.

All of those were originally sold by the same company as yours, Kramer & Co of Cairo, Egypt.

Again , better movement and case than yours.

i had an answer from the longines museum about the watch..
they told me:
The serial number 1’185’836 identifies a hunter pocket watch in gold 18k.
It is fitted with Longines manually wound mechanical movement, caliber 19.74.
It was invoiced to Messrs.’ Krammer, who were for many years our agent for Egypt, on 12.10.1901.

is that good?

Well i did say 1901 earlier in the thread ! And they have confirmed that it is a much more common movement than those watches which were sold for several thousand dollars.

The retailer mark is a good one
