Help with this Sculpture
« on: September 19, 2013, 07:51:23 pm »
Hiya All! How you doing?

I am normally good at this, but this particular piece got me baffled! It's not an antique, but a reproduction of a famous sculpture. It's from the reproduction company Austin INc and it is dated 1966.

At first I though it was  a reproduction from Rodin, but this is somehow not his style. if you can help, that will be great and I will be grateful.

Thank you so much!

The company is "Austin Prod.Inc.". The made many statues. Put it in the search engine like that. I'm still looking for your exact statue.

Mart, I can't find it either. Ebay has a lot of them. I like this statue. My grandparents had the "Thinker and the Monkey looking at the skull." These statues were very popular.

Is it a monk in a pillory?

Why not e-mail them as they're still going? You may get a reply
