Phoenix and Mother Mary with child ?

Just bought this and is a Phoenix and on top made the Mother Mary with child . Red is enamelled and looks to a plated copper base . The Phoenix and the Mother and child no idea what there made off . 

So is it old ? And are these together with a reason or made like this for ? Size is 5 centimetres .

It looks Polish. Catalogued some medals once which were similar in appearance. Might be civilian or religion related with Mary and Child on

You're  right here and makes it easier now . Any idea why made together with the Maria and child ?
