It is a "dark" art piece!
I personally would have an issues with those kind of eyes...they follow you no matter where in the room you are!

Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 3, 1863. Olivia moved to San Francisco with her family in 1876 and wed James Kingsland, a sea captain. After the death of her husband in the 1880s, she was briefly the wife of a candy manufacturer named Townsend. She was active in the local art scene and maintained a studio in her home at 1518 Franklin. With her daughter, Fannie, she ran an art gallery on Sutter Street and published Variety magazine.
