Early Photograph from America
« on: November 27, 2013, 06:56:57 am »
Just found this and would like to know who's the man on it and who is the photographer Offenbach from Brooklyn ?  And data must be before 1922 as seen on glued newspaper fragments on the frame .  So who is able to tell me more ? Size is 17x14 inches so big picture .

The photographers at this address were called Leeds.

Enter the address, including Brooklyn, within quotation marks in Google. Plenty of results.

Yes that works but Leeds is not Offenbach so any idea who he was ? And my photo is handsigned on the photo or in the negatief itself so not like what i see on the Leeds pictures .  Any idea about that ? And who is this man himself on the picture ?

Most likely it's anyone.

Try a google image search using the second image.

I think when he stated the needle and haystack thing he just was indicating it will be hard to locate one person in such a large area to look.  I have a lot of photos from early on and I do know who some of them are but trying to find the other people I have pictures of would be very difficult.  I wouldn't know where to start even.  I always start with asking the person I get them from what they know to make it possible to have a direction to go.
