Turn the photo face down on a clean soft cloth and try a blow dryer to soften the glue from the back !! Heat sometimes works on old glue !!  Then inch it up and away from the pic little by little !!
Great idea!

Thanks for the advices . Think that the glue would be a gelatine glue so animal based like used in bookbinding . So first I will try on one of my old books to see if heat will release this glue . Wetting the paper would work then but the paper off the photo is old and the photographic layer maybe will be getting lose from the under layer . And that's not what would be very clever . So testing first and let  you know what's come out .

Heating is not working so I just leave it where it is . Heating makes the photographic layer lose on the carrier paper so that will damage the image .

Identity finding off the person would be the best thing now . And the photographer if that's the name of him above the written address.

Thanks all but the last picture is not him .  But the forum gave me more directions to look and I.am hopeful to find the answer with these directions . And you're right about the fact that I will not stop in searching because if there is a answer I really want the answer .  And like most off you  I like buying so there's so much stored away now in the house that even I don't know what's all there any more .

That's funny, I am the same way.  I don't stop until I find the answer. I have a hard head as my parents told me.
