Daum vase winter landscape

Very nice vase and signed Daum Nancy . And found very reasonably priced so better . But is it a copy or just a early Daum vase ?

Looks too crude to me, in design, shape and mark.

" Arbres En Hiver " is the pattern. Have a google.

Thanks and had a look with the name off the design and Daum  . Difficult to see and copies are mostly just pressed glass but this one looks to be etched on the surface .So more en expensive to make as a fraud Daum vase ?    Any idea where to find copies on the net ?

This looks to be molded into the glass,, is it ?? Or just etched on surface ??

To me it looks with a magnifier glass that the its etched from the white who is the thickest to the glass itself .

So its not raised above the surrounding glass ??  Thought it looked like a shadow around the edge !!

Yes youre right about that . Looks like different layers off glass then edged to the design . So around 4 layers and colours starting with the white.grey what you see on the bottom picture .

But compare the quality of the detail on this and known originals. The signature also appears to have been applied with a catapult.

Look at the quality here, that distinctive mottled effect, also the interior.

Signature is the top off the layer so the black part off the layers

There's a lot info to be found but still no vase seen as a Daum copy  that looks like this one with the way the decoration has been done . So better to mail the expert tomorrow as given in the forum . Keep you informed off course .
