Arctic art
« on: December 15, 2013, 04:53:48 pm »
This I have also for many moons now and I.am looking for the artist who made it and when and where exactly in the Arctic .  Its unsigned but maybe to link to a Arctic artist . Height is 9.5 cm . I have read somewhere that there figures could mean something so not only nice crafted stones .

Actually some of it is simplistic.  http://www.inuitarteskimoart.com/product_info.php?products_id=6509  Simple sometimes makes a big statement.  Lets the imagination create.

The nicest thing would be to link it to a certain Inuit artist .  Maybe the new links given by you all will help .

No not really kidding and there where not so much Inuit artists known in the 20th century . And there styles where all different before tourists came . So a lot off private art the made was not signed then.  That means that this figure cut is to link to one person because there all different in what the see and make of there piece off stone . Long run yes ...But rewarding if ...Yes
