Nice ring!  Looks like Amethyst and 1920's.  Where it is antique you may be able to get  $50- $100 for it .  Depends on the market and what country the buyer is in.  If you go into advanced search on Ebay and click sold items similar to yours you can see what they are getting in your area.

Your monitors may look different from mine but the ring is Deco style so my opinion is late 20`s or 30`s !!  Stone looks more like a garnet !!  Really need to take it to a jeweler and have that mount tightened !!  One prong was not right !!

Lightened the pics up a bit mart just to get a better look. Definitely some work needed on the prongs (one especially). I'm still getting a purplish hue but could just be how my monitor is adjusted.

Thanks again Sapphire !! The lightened pic does look purple !!  So amethyst it is !! Very inexpensive stone but I like the deco styling !!
