How big is it and do the six round motifs indent. It almost looks like an egg or oyster plate from the picture but it also looks small.

It's 7 1/2 inches round. They do indent but in the back.

You say it is green? It does not look green with the red background. Green pressed glass with gold usually dates from the early 20th century and has become quite scarce. It is a nice piece. Oyster plates usually had six pockets. From the picture I could not tell. But it is not one if they are the other way. The pattern in the center in called hob star. We have a real glass aficionado named Wendy. She may be able to provide more info.  She will come along eventually.

the "pockets" are green, not the whole piece. The edge is gold all around.

The border is gold. The "pockets" are green and the rest is clear.

Mart, I was initially thinking it was an oyster dish but they noted that the indents are in the back...not the top side.

Thinking bon bon dish at 7 1/2 inches.
