Mrs LMC, can you not get a clearer image ? Even with a hole these could be quite valuable

Does it say 1/4 or 1/2 dollar ? I think it's gold.

There are tokens of these but these appear to be metal and given the context...

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=370967266190 your case. It's an angel on top.  Plus, if it would have a civil war photo the value really increase.

Yeah, the one i linked to was an angel.

Pretty sure, in fact as certain as can be just by looking at a blurred image, that the coins are gold pioneer fractional dollars.

Damn shame there's no photo because with the lock of hair they set up quite a story.

The Homestead Act, the wild west, panning for gold. Two lovers setting up home or a bandit linking two coins with a lock of hair from a dancer down the local saloon !!!!

 ;D

To get a good close shot try using the macro setting on your camera. The problem with getting the pics on here is because they are too big !! Resizing should help !! Use about 2000kb !! Your computer should have Photo Imaging software !!
