1880 St. Barbara chalkware statue with glass eyes Spain.  This is what I have come up with so far.  Signed Ciluisu.  13" tall  Can anyone tell me more about her?

The Ebay one is totally different if you look at the detail.  Look at the face and colors.  Here is the signature but couldn't get a great pic of it.

look at the 2nd one...ok its a different pose, but the eyes are crystal..you say yours is glass..when they might be crystal

The one on Ebay is a reproduction.  Forgot to mention she is not dated I got that from research.  I got a St. Anne and a crucifix regular old chalk ware.  I listed the crucifix and it sold in hours for $100.  It is a melted glass eye.  My grandmother had a Jesus of Prague from her grandmother that I have and there is a difference in feel to the piece.

look at the 2nd one...ok its a different pose, but the eyes are crystal..you say yours is glass..when they might be crystal

The second link is more like the craftsmanship.  The very old ladies around here all collected these.  All my aunts and their mothers had these type items.  The older ones have a different color tone. She could have crystal eyes though.  Hard to tell but they are not painted like the standard ones.

I checked Ciluisu, Cilursu, both names with nada found !! Checked statuary with both names with Spain and without still nothing !!  Also checked both names for sculptors but didn`t find anything under those names !! So how did you come up with that year ?? Maybe that will help !!

The date was from another statue I was researching.  I can't find anything on the name either.  The St. Anne I just listed has a watcher already in just half hour.  Religious items usually don't move that well but this lot is doing ok.

There was one listed on Ebay that's mentioned on Worthpoint as being Cilursu. The only problem there is that the only person of note on Google with that name is a doctor.
Found a couple of figures very similar but with slight variations in detail, which could mean a plaster cast which has been painted slightly differently.

I found the doctor too.  Lol  The age the other person had may be wrong but I don't think she is modern at all.  As I said the elderly Catholic ladies around here had tons of these.  I remember growing up seeing all of them.  Some of the other items at the same location indicate the elderly lady must have passed away and kids don't care about these things.  There is an odd separation on the back that I thought was a crack repair at first but seems to be an aging issue.  here is a pic of that.

Found this one signed CSC !! But still nothing found with those initials and last name as on yours !!
