african mask from ?

Nice and old and even the woodworm must be dead by now . But Africa is big so who is able to tell where in Africa this could be made and when maybe ? The shape and decoration must be able to pinpoint it a bit i hope .

No . Just a nutty collector who also sells some off the bought items hopefully with some profit . And buying again and again off course . Just like antiques and older electronic equipment etcetera etcetera . But have some much to check and look at that I have to be living to at least a 150 years old

Try Pacific island masks, too. New Guinea, Fiji etc. They have shell eyes and this doesn't look Nubian or African.

I am on dial up so all sites do not cooperate for me !!  You find some odd items so thought you might have an antique or collectable shop !! But selling as independent is just as good and no overhead expenses !!

Probably on e bay later but first I would like to have some similar masks to find for the price range to put it in. This is a difficult thing to price I think . And nosey as always  I do want to know as good as possible where and when made by what tribe  . You're very observant to see a probably English transfer printed Japanese marked ginger jar . There's also a blue and white one shelf higher without the lid and not marked . Make pictures tomorrow for you

2nd pic,,lower rt. corner ?? Look like swans !! What are those or is that a mirror behind making it look like two ??

No there's 2 off them and there book supports and think myself there maybe from Indonesia and from before ww2 . Wood is tropical and heavy

The suggestions where right and it is a ancestor mask from Papua New Guinea . So thanks . only have to find the possible age of it . I think it must be from end 19th to beginning 20th century compared to others I have seen ?
