I believe yours is the 1901 mark!!  Can you show it upright ???

I think it may actually be Walker & Hall's mark for silverplate. Take a look at this page, scroll down to the silverplate section and see one almost like it on the far left: http://www.silvercollection.it/ENGLAWALKER&HALL.html

No date letter here but could be 1910-1920

Probably pattern number !! I saw several items by this maker with different 4 digit numbers but did not relate to date made !!

In looking at the style I have to agree with Ipcress that the date would most likely be 19010 to 1920 !! Since it is only silverplate value would be minimal,,here in the U.S about $20. to $30. on a good day !! Don`t know about UK price !!

In the UK this would be put with other items in a lot for auction. Probably priced up on a stall at a couple of pounds

They designed and produced some lovely items for some prestigious companies but were also mass producing affordable goods for the general public. Sheffield in those days was the place in the country for it.
