Very old picture from New Hampshire
« on: February 17, 2014, 09:54:53 am »
This photo was taken by a photographer in NH.  I thought it was a church at first but the pictures on the wall don't make sense.  Can someone give me a time period and what they might be doing?

Can`t see well enough to tell !! You might check on Republican and Democratic National conventions !! See if either was held in NH !! Then look up stock photos from it !!

Called "Morning dress"  around 1901. That's from Wikipedia.  I'm sure this will be debated, lol.  ;D

Are you saying the clothing style or the name of the photo?  When I typed it in all I got was clothing style.

Clothing style is what I was referencing too. I was thinking how many stars are on the flag? That would really tell you the time period.

It looks to me like the men (and they appear to all be men) in the front and on the sides are possibly singing? Most of them are holding papers in front of them as tho they are. The one man in the center has his back to the people seated on the benches...the audience?...as tho he is perhaps leading the singing?
