Chandelier
« on: April 05, 2014, 07:11:30 am »
I just bought a house and it came with this chandelier.  Thinking of replacing it and was wondering if it is an antique.  Is so how much is it worth.  Thanks

It is an antique or older fixture. Probably European. It is gorgeous. Do not sell it; donate it to the Frogpatch home for aging light fixtures. :D The downlight would make me think it more vintage than antique. Take the flame bulb out of there. It needs a little spot lamp. That bulb will eventually separate from its base and cause a problem. That is a base down only light bulb

I think you have a lovely chandelier, we had another a few weeks back on the board that was equally beautiful

does everyone think the sconces are all original?

A work of art lucky you

Beautiful chandelier.

I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

FRom those amber shades I am guessing late 60`s or 70`s Gothic revival !!  Some people are still into that style !!  Go figure that !!!
