« on: April 13, 2014, 06:24:38 pm »
Found with metal detector; a foot under ground. object weighs almost 30 pounds. is hollow with a threaded line going in and one coming out the same side. 60 - 70 yards from a train track. The property it was found on dates back to about 1840.If you have any information I would greatly appreciate your help.

I was thinking some sort of radiator as well but have been unable to find anything similar on cars, tractors, trains , or heating. I have not soaked it; what solution would you suggest?

I would say it must be some type of heat exchanger. Who knows what for though, guess it could be engine or perhaps fire related.
