Copper/bronze covered blanket box identification
« on: April 26, 2014, 07:54:55 am »
I've inherited a cane/umbrella stand and metal covered upright blanket type box that I’m trying to date, identify what the style is called and get an idea of their potential value.

Both are copper or possibly bronze and feature pre-180th century style figures in domestic or workshop settings. See slideshow http://s929.photobucket.com/user/bradan667/slideshow/Public

Box:  H-22” W-24” H-12”

Umbrella Stand:  H-26” Dia-10” Cir-30”

I’d appreciate any help.

Looks to me like Mid 20thC fireplace wood box & matching umbrella stand.  Some on this site won't be able to see your photos, if you could post a couple within a post.  GG

Thanks. I think it is older than mid-20th century as it came from my grandfather (b1906) and had belonged to his parents.

Let's see if I can get the images loaded here  ???
