Early 1900s era buffet
« on: August 04, 2014, 11:02:28 pm »
I have a (what I'm guessing was a 1920s-era) walnut buffet. It isn't stamped anywhere with a manufacturer name, but it is printed on the back with a number and what it is: "wal. buffet". I got it as a hand-me-down, but am curious by whom and when it was made, and perhaps how much it is worth. It's not in super glorious condition or anything (it's been in a house with a dog and a child).

Thank you for any help!

Can`t see the entire hutch !! The style is Jacobean Revival from first quarter of 1900`s !!  As far as the mfr,, just throw all the names in a hat and draw a name !! (joking) !! Could have been made by any mfr working during that period !! Furniture was not, as a rule, marked by the mfr unless it was very high end !!  Finding one with a name is rare !!  These were the more common middle America type pieces !!  Its still worth a little TLC though !!
