What is the background behind the piece? Where did you get it? Were you told it wasn't a reproduction? This style came back in the 1920's. If this is real its quite valuable. I would really get a hands on inspection of the table from someone extremely reputable.

This style was reproduced from the late 20`s through the 1940`s !!  It is the most common style you will find !!  I still have several pieces from that era in storage !!  Value is not a lot since so many were made by a number of mfrs !!  You might find a style number on the underside !!  Not all had one but some did !!

No need to post the numbers,, the fact that it has one dates both pieces, the table and the chest to 20th century !! Still not a bad find and the price was right !! I would have grabbed it too !! Give the Duncan Phyfe a coat of Old English dark and it will look great !!  Use lemon oil on the chest !!

No, I did not mean no value,,I just meant a small one !! Depending on where you are maybe $50. to $65. if its in excellent condition, good and tight, no wiggles, and few scratches !! You expect a little wear on anything old but it should be minimal and in the correct places !! Even though you can`t retire on what you make from it,, its still found money since you got it free !!  I will take that all day long !!
