This was brought home yesreday. Think it was over wound. Not so easy too find a clock maker anymore. The one I used is gone. Now I'll have to check maybe with my jeweler. He might know one. The clock is made in West Germany. I going to look on eBay.

I would guess that it was a nice sounding clock with the quarter hour chimes.

Think it was over wound.

Oftentimes, iffen you can "nudge" the escapement wheel to get it moving ..... and keep repeating said, it will begin to work.

Iffen it runs "longer" after each "nudgeing" ..... then you are making progress.

A "squirt" of lighter fluid on the gears and bearings might also help. The lighter fluid will "cut" the varnish build-up on the bearings and shafts of the gears.
