While I would eventually like to know if this is worth anything, first I'm just curious how old it is. I bought a twin bed on craigslist a few years ago and it came with a very old looking (but not in bad shape) box frame by Sealy. I never game it much thought because it was used as a guest bed. Now that I'm moving and trying to get rid of things, I was about the craigslist the bed, but held off when I looked at the tags more closely.
The first thing I noticed, apart from it being a Sealy Posturepedic, was that the edges of the frame were bendy. I know most cheaper twin beds come with solid wood frames but this seems a bit higher class than that. I looked at the tags to try to find any sort of manufacturing date, but I couldn't locate one. The only dates, which were pretty specific, were regarding regulations from 1923, 1926, and 1929. I have included pictures of both tags with the post.
I'm pretty good at searching for things on google, but I was unable to turn up anything that resembled this model. I did find that Sealy was started in 1889 but I was unable to determine when they started their Posturepedic line (hoping to narrow things down). I tried searching some of the numbers on the tags as well as some of the other buzzwords on the box springs. I tried searching "Sealy comfort-card" which is printed on the top and came up blank.
I figured I'd post here to see if anyone had an idea of how old this model might be. Thanks in advance!
