Solid silver teapot?
« on: October 10, 2014, 08:19:33 am »
Hi, anyone have any idea about this item?
Seems to be a solid silver teapot of some sort, complete with a strainer type item inside.
How old is it?
How much is it worth?

Thanks in advance!

Here is info about the maker of your teapot !! They made silverplate as well as sterling and brittania metal tea sets along with other items !!  You need to check the hallmarks on your teapot to see which yours is made of and year made !! They are too dark for me to see in the pics !!

Can you please post a better picture of the hallmarks on the bottom?

Also, if you can't, please describe what the bottom marks are...

If you can clean the tarnish up on the hallmarks then post a picture it would help.

Unusual for a piece of quality not to have insulators where the handle joins the body.  Agree about the hallmarks !! those could say EPNS or EPBM but if its silver very nice
