"therein lies the problem" haha, the only ones that would have known about this set and where it came from would have been my great uncle and aunt, who sadly without a seance cannot be asked.  So pretty much a good conclusion would be that these so cut buy a company, not necessarily AH?

That would be my opinion !! Nothing I have found by AH is even similar to these !!  Sad that we can`t ask where they came from !! That's why it is so important to get the details before our relatives pass on !!

Anchor Hocking did produce some wheel cut patterns like Swedish Modern. Here is a set by for sale that is similar in pattern to yours

I found that one myself frogpatch and it frustrates me because you can see from the cuts/style/etching it is made from around that time.  They had some like this at the antique store near my home that I was at yesterday.  It was labeled as Elegant glassware by Libby in the Halifax pattern.

So the what is more important, Who designed the glasses, or the glasses itself?

Neither would be more important than the other as far as value !! AH made a lot of glassware so it is not rare or expensive and not old enough to be collectable as such !! Value depends on who is looking for a set like this !! Selling as a set would likely not bring as much as if broken up and sold in smaller increments but a lot more trouble for you !!

Totally agree with Mart.  Selling it in smaller bits will bring more.
