This style of horseshoe was in use during the English Civil war the dish shape  as would have been on a Cromwellian horse

Hmm when where they In Germany? One of them (the better looking one) seems to have a flower type stamp on it, it is barely visible and I JUST noticed it :)

Sorry for my statement of fact. :o no doubt some things were multicultural even in those days a bit like the Wheel.
