Vintage Chinese or Japanese green vase
« on: January 11, 2015, 08:01:25 pm »
Greetings. I found this vase at Goodwill today. For some reason, probably because it is green :D it caught my eye. I do not know if it is Chinese or Japanese. If anyone can read the marker (the artist's name) or at least what era it could have been made. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, this is Korean Celadon, and I have seen the pattern named " 4 seasons", with a representative plant/flower for each season. It is not old, made in the last decades. As far as I know the Koreans started to reproduce their antique celadons only after the mid 1950s, so this was made after that date. The mark is an artist's signature, but I cannot read it...
