The so-called "DPV" mark (as most people read it that way) actually is a "VDP" and stands for the (hold tight!) "Vereinigung deutscher Porzellan-Fabrikanten zur Hebung der Porzellan-Industrie GmbH", a commercial union of German porcelain manufacturers, representing around 77 different companies. Its main job was the active promotion of German porcelain sales in Austria, Switzerland, the four German colonies in Africa, and other areas of interest (except already covered areas like the UK, Canada and the USA).
Shown DPV mark was registered on October 15th 1908 as Reichswarenzeichenr egister (RWZR) #111474; the business itself already disbanded four years later (hence shown DPV mark was only used 1908-1912).
