Recently I've obtained a few items from my grandmother, this vintage hardcover book is one of them.

What I know:

• It's copyrighted 1899
• Mrs. E. Prentiss is the author
• Published by New York: Hurst & Company, Publishers
• It's titled 'Stepping Heavenward'

Any additional information is appreciated, I'm curious of the value.

theres one similar reprint on amazon for $78, the first edition was published in 1869.

Searched Amazon and I couldn't find it, does it feature the woman depicted on the front cover? After doing a Google Image search I can't find one similar.

it does have a picture however its in a triangle not an oval. its also published by a different publisher.
