Antique Linoleum Rug
« on: March 23, 2015, 09:04:14 pm »
Anybody know much about them and what the resale value is in them?  Found a unique gem under the carpet of  our 1870s farm house.  It's old enough that it was under a cattle hair underlayment (which I I believe was used around 1920s?) Thanks!!!

Wonder if it is linoleum or congoleum?

I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

Thanks, that's really one of the only pieces of info I could find on the history of these rugs.  It looks hand stenciler which I find impossible, but also interesting.   I assume the orinting process was just not as precise and that's why inhas this look.  It reminds me of an old oil painting.
