Ceramic Ashtray??

This may be home made? has a letter "A" inscribed on the bottom. I guess it's an ashtray, etc?? I can't find anything like this. Thank you.

Hi!  Can you please post a picture of the bottom?  This is pretty darn good if it is a homemade item!  The detailon the guy is pretty good.
