Looks like "Maywin" but couldn`t see it well !!  I did not find anything by that name,,at least not commercially so could be a hobbyist. The back is a bit rough for anything that is normally sold  or does it just look that way in the pics?

Yep, we have some warmer days...but have had a whole bunch of rain.  Didn't know if we needed to see if anyone has plans for an ark!  :)

We got another 1 1/2 inches last night and today !! Garden isn`t looking so good today !! If it isn`t drowning its sun scalding !!  But the potatoes seem to be doing well !! Had  Red LaSoda last week and Yukon Gold yesterday for dinner !! Now if they just do not rot !!   We are supposed to get more rain this weekend !!   We have an old 50`s/60`s Lone Star Cabin Cruiser,, that is almost an Ark !!   ;D

I've been watching those flooding reports and wondering how you 2 were doing.

And this morning's Fox weather map shows ya'll will be having rain most of the day.

Ya have to blame it on the Jet Stream cause its got a big "loop" in it that stretches from the Northwest off of Alaska clear down to Texas and then back up thru the midwest. Where ever it wanders .... it sucks the warm moist air up from the south and drags the cooler air down from the north. As soon as that "loop" moves to the northeast then you should start drying out.

We had rain yesterday and the temp didn't get over 62F ..... and this morning the temp is 39F and is supposed to hit 72F later on today.

"A cold wet May will fill the barn full of hay". ..... Ole farmer's proverb.

Well Mart...there you have it.  You should have planted hay instead of potatoes this year!  :)  Don't think you and the hubby would enjoy that as well as those goldens!  :)

I can tell you my flower beds/shrub garden is now a Beer Garden!!!!  I try and put out natural killers for pests and slugs LOVE beer so I put out beer traps.  Let me tell you, you would think I have a neon sign that reads FREE BEER.  Just last night in the 5 cups (literally used plastic beer cups - so they have their last drink!) I had easily over 500 slugs!  This weather is making them VERY happy.  I have had to surround my tomatoes/peppers/etc garden with a copper tubing "fence".  (Slugs will not cross copper or it melts them like the wicked witch in The Wizard of Oz).  Oh well....  Word of wise - the slugs will not drink alcohol free beer!!! Picky little freeloaders.

KC-you mean you literally pour beer into cups and the slugs crawl up?
