Majolica Pineapple Pitcher Jug
« on: May 22, 2015, 11:18:54 am »
Hi

I have been searching different sites regarding the above, I did see one like it on bonanza.com which stated it was Vintage 1800's but theirs was damaged and was selling for £153.45,  the one i have is in excellent condition, can anyone tell me anything else and value please.

Many Thanks

I personally can't determine age/maker of your piece from the pictures I see.  It appears to be in good shape.  It is one of those that I believe would need a hands on to determine age, etc.

Boy,, you are determined that I get one aren`t you Jacon4 ??  :D  I looked through a bunch of pineapple jugs but never found an identical one !! If I remember correctly George Jones (not the singer,,the one from the UK ) was one that I thought may have made it,, many of his were unmarked I think !!  Its worth checking !!

It has gotten up to 97 degrees here and boy is it HUMID with all the rain we have had.  Bet your plants are loving the humidity Mart!  Hope the crop fares well!!!

Actually they do not like it after the rain we had !! First they drowned then they steam cooked !! Tomatoes are blistering,,,I hope we at least have enough to eat !!  Big garden doing well though !! More corn than 4 families can eat,,green beans are out-producing previous years,,watermelons and cantaloupes are loving it !!

Mart,

It is all that extra human added, air contaminating CO2 from fossil fuel burning that they love the mostest

That is iffen you believe those silly “junk science” claims about fossil fuels being the source of the increase in atmospheric CO2.

More CO2 means quicker and greater growth rates.
