Mart, I married someone that believes, like me, we do all the housework just as we were raised. Same way we raised our kids. So, an extension ladder, and my personal Handy Man.
When we bought here 25 yrs ago we were a unique neighborhood surrounded by hundreds of acres of pastureland. Now it has built up around us with some housing sections but mostly mansions/estates. That's bad because we lost our tranquility - but good because we had the opportunity to increase our home investment. So, we have remodeled/updated to keep up and triple our home values.
The average home/mansion around us has several handy men/businesses that do all of their work. We just laugh and say that we both sleep with the hired help - eachother!
Eventually we will sell and move to the country...again!
Here's someone you may have heard of in the past who's place sold just up the road from us:

We have friends who are builders (and built lots of these mansions) who have helped us on the big remodeling parts for a fraction of the cost. We are very blessed.
