Vintage Coca Cola Can Table Lighter
« on: December 03, 2015, 04:28:01 pm »
It has some sand inside it, and it works. It measures approx. between 5.5" to 6" tall. Is the one I have worth as much as the other related one on eBay that sold for $92? The lighter part says Japan on it, by the way. Is mine rare or very collectible? Thank you.

Here's the closest one I could find on eBay: www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-1960s-Coca-Cola-Soda-Pop-Harlequin-COKE-Diamond-Can-TABLE-LIGHTER-NICE-/391226693069

Yours looks like a newer (1970s) version. Coke stuff is everywhere, but there are also many collectors. $92.00 seems a bit high though.

Here is an interesting article looks like they started making the lighters around 1950.  They don't  have a pic so not sure what he first looked like.

Check the date for the Coke "logo" that's printed on the can.
