Chased Silver Vase Markings

This is a 7" chased silver vase I purchased at the TS yesterday and I'm trying to identify where it was made and possibly what type of maker or hallmarks are on the bottom.

The vase measures about 7" in height and about 3" in diameter at it's widest point towards the center and weighs about 10 ounces and is either made of silver or silver plated. It has been chased with designs and some birds. On the bottom it looks like a spindle might have been used to hold the vase while t was being chased and it punched a mark through the maker or hallmarks.

Does anyone know where the vase was made? It looks like it may be from the Middle East or possibly from India, I'm not sure. Also, can anyone make out what is left of the hallmarks or recognize what's left of them.

Beautiful piece.

From the size it appears to be like the size of many that were sold as tourist pieces.  Small enough to interest many, but of good quality to demand a higher price.

Wish the makers mark was was in better shape!

Thanks Mart and KC! After looking around some more since reading what you said I think it's most likely Persian and probably a good quality tourist piece. Yes, too bad the marks are only partially there. Going to make it hard to ID.

It is Persian, made in Isfahan as indicated by the partially covered Isfahan text stamp. The number on the right is 17. I am no expert in the field so that is all I can divulge. I found a seemingly older item here:

The 2nd mark on the right that looks like an upside down "V" with a mark next to it I think may be the mark for the number 84 in Persian "۸۴" which would indicate 875 Silver purity.  I've included a couple of links below for reference.

Kevin you are probably right about that, the number may be 84 but due to the stamp being covered the number 4 is partially cut off that is why I read it as 17. In the links you referenced the numbers are clearly 84. Here is a link to cross reference for numbers:

Thanks for the update and the link AT434. I was using google translate to translate the number 84 to Persian. Yes, that 3rd mark is mostly smudged, would be difficult to identify.
