Hello,
I would be interested in knowing the value of the silverplate I just inherited. It was purchased through the Jewel Tee Company around 1948. It’s a 52 piece service for 8 priced at $64.75 at that time. The pattern is “First Love” and has never been used or out of the wood box it came in. Any information on this would be most welcome.
Thank you
Sincerely,
Carla King

carla can you double check your dating or pattern name? first love was made in circa 1937. it would cost you a $1,000.00 doller's to replace in mint condition.

Thank you for your response. I may be wrong but I'm fairly sure I named it right. I got the info from this site..

I spoke to my mother this evening and she told me it was bought through the Jewel Tee Company in 1946 or 1947. My mom was 16 at the time. She and my aunt bought a set at the same time. They paid a dollar a week for it till it was paid off.  The pattern on my silverware is the same as the First Love pattern at the Sterling Silver Shop site.  I feel lucky to have it. Thanks again.
