Entrata del Lago picture
« on: July 31, 2016, 02:48:10 pm »
I have a picture of Entrata del Lago by DeCorsi.
I assume it's from around 1965.
It measures 53.75" x 30"
I have seen numerous postings about this picture broken down to a 4 panel set, but nothing about the single, large print.
I also noticed that my copy is not the entire reproduction of the original painting. The 4th panel in the sets shows an entire sailboat, not just the bow as in my print.
I think the label on the back is just concerning the framing  company.
Does anybody have an idea what this reproduction is worth?
I saw the 4 panel set is selling for about $185.00
Anything info at all would be greatly appreciated.

Illinois moulding Co. did make the frames but Windsor Art Products, which is part of the same company, had the rights to reprint hundreds of pieces of artwork to frame and sell !!  They were known for making art affordable to the masses !!   All are copies of original works by various artists !!  If they purchased the painting and reproduction rights they could make and sell them  any way they chose and in any amount !!  As to the value of yours,, my opinion would be in the $20. to $30. range with a good strong tail wind !!  Some sell well and others do not,, you never know !!  Sorry !!

LOL  !!  Yes he was !!  But others on ebay do the same thing !!  They list some of the most common items with terms like "Rare" and "Only 2 Made" ect,,ect !!  They are hoping for one person who doesn`t know any better to bid !!  I once saw one of those blue Vicks Vapo-Rub screw top jars listed like that for $45. when there were plenty at  $1. to $2. each !!
