Hi ssf2,

Are there only 4 of these dishes?  These remind me of something my Grandmother used to have many sets of, what she called Card or Nut Set.  When playing bridge or whist each person had a dish for nuts/candy etc.  Often they would have 4 slightly different patterns. Perhaps they are something of the same ilk?

I only have 4. I thought maybe they were  a sauce or berry dish, or maybe part of a nut set but wasn't sure about the sizes. They do measure 4 inches to the outside, and from the table to the top they are about 1 inch deep. Look too big to be butter pats to me, as all the ones I have seen are smaller.
I keep looking online for something in the same colors to compare them to, but most of what I find is the gray variety. Seems the green/blue/deep salmon color is rarer.

According to the Haviland Online link I posted,, Its common that the patterns are not identical on all items even if they are the same !!  That site has some interesting info !!
