Luneville Seasons set
« on: September 25, 2016, 07:06:03 pm »
Hi everyone. I'm new to the website.  Short version is that I've recently been trying to simplify my life and my mom was inspired to do the same.  To that end she's looking over some of the things that she's gotten over the years, having worked as a maid in Palm Beach for the last 40 years.  I'm hoping that a site full of experts can give me some advice on how to help her.

One of the gifts that she's gotten over the years is a set of eight plates that I've managed to figure out were part of the Luneville Seasons set but I haven't had much luck tracking down a year.  I know she's had them at least 10-15 years but I keep running in circles between EBay and auction/estate planning web sites.

My untrained eye couldn't find any chips or damage so I'd say that they are in good condition and recently dusted.  Can you help me out?

Roderick

Welcome to the forum !!  If you would post a pic of the backstamp it would help !!  Sometimes you can tell the time frame from the style of mark on back !!  Rarely will there ever be "a year" made !!  Sometimes these things are made for a number of years and more than one production run !!

I have looked half the day for the date for this mark but have not found it listed yet !! But its easily found on other items besides your plates !! The Luneville factory was bought by Keller & Gurein who then bought bought the Saint Clement and Sarreguemines factories !! This mark is not listed among those commonly used and Luneville ceased as a company in 1981 !!   But still working on it !!
