Now I’se wasa thinking that …… just making the “forms” (a least 3 of them) that were needed for making Markandouk’s lamp …… would have been quite a “project” in themselves. 

Mold makers, die makers, form makers, etc., all require a tad bit of expertise for doing said.

If you have a look at the picture of the underside of the shade, you can see that it does not look as tidy as what you would expect of a reproduction lamp, this is only noticeable on this place on the inside, and to me the outer side looks great, and again after hours of searching I can not come up with a one like it,

anyway, I love My Lamp and to me I got a good deal, :-)

That is a lot of very tedious work !! Do not think I will be making those !!

Considering that recent ones go for around $200-$300, this basically amounts to slave labor!

If ya have one of these, cutting all those different "stained glass" pieces for assembling a lamp shade .......... is the least of you problems.

Hi the base is also made out of stained glass. Which seems to have a coating on.
