Now I’se wasa thinking that …… just making the “forms” (a least 3 of them) that were needed for making Markandouk’s lamp …… would have been quite a “project” in themselves.  ;D ;D ;D

Mold makers, die makers, form makers, etc., all require a tad bit of expertise for doing said. ;) ;)

If you have a look at the picture of the underside of the shade, you can see that it does not look as tidy as what you would expect of a reproduction lamp, this is only noticeable on this place on the inside, and to me the outer side looks great, and again after hours of searching I can not come up with a one like it,

anyway, I love My Lamp and to me I got a good deal, :-)

Mark

Maybe you've already used it, but I've spent some time on the following lamp site: http://leadedlamps.com/index.html in the past and found it interesting.

Here are pictures of a couple leaded “stained glass” lamp shade forms or molds (whichever your prefer to call them. Personally, I prefer calling them "lampshade forms" because they are akin to "dress forms") ..... and also an included url link to “project” instructions for making yourself one of those beautiful lamp shades and/or lamps.

Considering that recent ones go for around $200-$300, this basically amounts to slave labor!  :(

Hi the base is also made out of stained glass. Which seems to have a coating on.
