Trying to Identify this Vase. Also new here! Go easy on me!
« on: November 06, 2016, 12:47:47 pm »
Hello everyone, My name is Aaron and I'm from Arkansas,(A state in the US) And I'm having trouble Identifying this vase My mother has had for a long time and has been holding onto in hopes she could eventually find out if it was an antique or not, So here I am! I'll upload some pictures so you can tell me what you think, Judging by it's design I think it's something maybe Chinese or Japanese? I Don't have much of a clue but those are my assumptions. One of the handles are broken however I still have it. I'd upload more but it won't let me! I have other photos as well, Showing the bottom and the way the glass looks, Like it has little tiny cracks inside. I can only assume this is due to age. The cracks aren't open and look sealed? It's rather hard to explain. As far as I know the metal bits including the top are made of brass. Though I could very well be wrong.

Hi there !!  We are easy on everyone !! I am in Texas and not far from the Arkansas border !!    How did your mother come to own this vase ??  The reason you can not post additional pics is there is a size limit of 4000kb per post !!  I noticed each of your pics are over 1000kb  so if you reduce the size that would help !!
Try taking a pic in better light and stand back far enough to get the entire vase !!  Then post it with your next reply !!  See if it will load !!  We can enlarge the pics if needed !!

Alright! I sent the image you requested, As well as another that I felt might be relevant! one is of the bottom and the other is of the interior and how the glass looks inside, It's very smooth but looks similar to thousands of little cracks or shards. Though they aren't actually cracks. more like a pattern really. Perhaps this is just age. Also the bottom shows no labeling or anything.  (UPDATE! I forgot you asked me how she got it, She picked it up at a local thrift store in a small town called pocola, We have since moved away from there but that's where she got it maybe 2-3 years back)
