The LC and WL Cron Co bedroom suite
« on: February 10, 2017, 09:38:39 am »
Hello, I'm trying to find the value of this bedroom suite. All I know is it was my Great Great Grandparents from when they married in the late 1800s. I can only post 1 photo in this initial message. Hoping I can upload more in the comments.

It's 3 pieces, bed (head and foot board and all other parts that go with it), a dresser and a wash stand. I believe I have a mirror that goes with the dresser as well but I have to dig around in the shed for that.

I need to sell it all but have no clue as to what I should ask for it. I've searched online. Some ask for $1800 for a suite like this, some say it's worth less. There is 1 missing piece and thats an armoire. Another family member has that.

Any info helps...Please and thank you!

Very nice American Oak but not a matching set !!  The wash stand has different pulls from the dresser !!   Evidently They were either not purchased at the same time or the dresser pulls were replaced at some point !!  Probably 1880 give or take a few years either way !!

Just to confuse you further,,the link at the top is from another question posted here about the LC &  WL Cron Co.  Different bed though !!

Fair enough but I am still needing to know what price is reasonable to ask for these pieces. I have no use for them...as pretty as they are I need the money more than I need old furniture.

I'm guessing around $600-$700 for the set.

Thats about what I would ask for the set with the mirror !!  Some areas American Oak sells well and others it doesn`t !!  Rural areas usually are the best for this type furniture !!  Its perfect for a turn of the century country/farm house !!

They produced a range of furniture styles, often reflecting the popular design trends of their time, including Victorian and early American styles.
