small planter?
« on: February 10, 2017, 02:33:43 pm »
This had florist clay in the bottom, that's the only reason I thought it was a planter.
It's 4.5" H x 5" square.
Again, absolutely no marking on the bottom.

Yes. Looks like the nicest (and most valuable :)) of the bunch.

;D ;D ;D I knew that one was a goodern the second I seem the picture. There is no mistaking that "Roseville" look.

There is another one, which the name escapes me, that is very similar and often causes confusion at 1st look-see.

I luv Roseville, ...... most of it, anyway.

Now that I know what it is I found it on another site.
We have 3 different years on it.
1928 and 1919 on the two sites that Rauville found
and 1869 on the site I found.
I'm so confused.

I've always considered the 1928 date as being correct. I don't know why the eBay seller is using 1919, and 1869 would be the auction lot number on the site you found. :) (Isn't it fun to come across a great find?)

ARRGGGHHHHH!!
Today a friend of mine noticed a hairline crack that goes all the way thru to the inside.
So much for $500.00.
 :(

Yep. Yep.

I don't know why I was so surprised to find a crack in an antique.
This is my family we're talking about.
