Is something wrong with the forum?
« on: April 15, 2017, 06:58:23 am »
Very unusual to see two days without a post so just testing to see if the forum is working.

It happens, not a lot but it gets slooooooooooooooooo ooow on here. Plus, if one does not comment on a thread, you don't get emails about replies on that thread so sometimes it's days or maybe a week or more that i check back into forum to see if there is something of interest. Additionally, this forum depends on new posters finding forum and asking about their object, that runs in cycles, it seems forum is in a down cycle! Kinda like old furniture, absolutely in a down cycle!
Another possibility, it's SPRING! everyone is at gardening center or hardware store indulging in their personal SPRING FEVER project.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

We are having baby chicks hatching under a little mother hen today, so a perfect way to say: Happy Easter!

Happy Easter All!  Here's hoping that all the "forum family" is having a fabulous time of year - hopefully with your "other" family!

Lots of family in from out of town for Easter/Spring Break and the weeds have been calling my name!

Garden Center next week!

Working in Chicago this weekend. Perfect weather, but no time for antiques!  :)

Been busy myself. Still a chance of frost here in Massachusetts, so no planting yet.  I have raked and wheelbarrows 16 tarps full of leaves over the last week.

Pelady,,, I gave up raking leaves ...... when they invented the gasoline powered "rotary" lawnmower.

And iffen you want to “compost” your shredded leaves ……. then use a lawnmower with a grass "catcher", to wit:

We get so many leaves from our neighbors trees as well (wind patterns) that it would choke that little push mower!  Bought the better half one of those commercial 0-radius mulching mowers years ago.  Have to mow with that then come back over with a catcher - otherwise there is so much mulch the grass would die!  LOL

Yeah, Charlotte is known as the "city of trees", almost half the land area is trees so a mower is not going to cut it around here, i use a leaf blower to get them in a pile, it's the only good way. Course, i do that in fall not spring. That city of tree thing is great until NOW! it's pollen heaven around here and very heavy, you can see clouds of pollen in the wind and it turns EVERYTHING outside a greenish color.

LOLOL  Mart you are too funny!  I gotta say I never noticed the yellow around here until the past 2 days and it is coating everything!

One of my brothers lives in Blythewood, SC and he has sent pictures of everything coated yellow!
